Introduction to Anker Chargers & Charging Stations

If you’re looking for a USB charger for your phone, tablet, computer, or really any device that uses USB, you’re in the right place because in this article we’re going to take a look at seven of my favorite Anker Chargers. We’ve got wall chargers and we’ve also got desktop chargers. We’re going to help you decide if you should get a wall charger or if you should get a desktop charging station and how to pick the right one for you depending on the devices that you have. I do want to say Anker sent me all of these for free for purposes of making this video. They have no input in this content. This is going to be based on my experience testing and using all these chargers in the real world. If you’re interested in buying any of these Anker Chargers.

Compact Wall Chargers: Nano 30W and Dual 47W

So we’re going to start with the smallest one, which is the Nano 30W. This is going to be a great option if you want to power an iPhone or an iPad and just do one device at a time. This thing is so compact, very small, has the folding prongs, and a single USB port tops out at 30 watts, which is just enough power for an iPhone or any iPad. If you want to charge multiple devices at the same time, don’t get Apple’s power adapter; get the Anker Dual 47W charger. This one has two USB-C ports and it’s also got the folding prongs, still a very compact size. Now this one is a 47W charger, but it’s only capable of giving 45 watts of power if you use just one port. If you use both ports, then it’ll go down to 27 and 20 watts, so the power does get split between them. This will be a good charger to keep an iPad and an iPhone charged at the same time, or it’ll also do a good job at keeping a MacBook Air charged by itself, and then when you’re done charging the MacBook Air, you’ll have plenty of power left over to keep your other devices charged.

High-Power Wall Chargers: Prime 100W and Laptop Charger 140W

The next on the list is the Prime 100W charger. This one is very compact as well, a little bit heavier than the Dual 47W charger. It also has the folding prongs, two USB-C ports, and one USB-A port. This is a 100W charger, so this will charge all the way up to a 14 or 16-inch MacBook Pro. Just know if you use multiple ports on this, the power will be split, and your total output is going to go down a little bit as well. If you want to keep three devices charged at the same time, two of them are going to be USB-C and one of them is going to be USB-A. The Anker Laptop Charger with 140W total power is perfect for keeping a phone, a tablet, and a computer charged all at the same time. It has a sleek design, all ports on the bottom, a screen for monitoring output, folding prongs, and even a USB-C cord in the box. One con is it can struggle sustaining 140W and loses a little efficiency due to the screen, but it’s ideal for keeping multiple devices charged simultaneously.

Desktop Charging Stations: Prime 200W, 250W, and 240W

Now moving up from wall chargers to desktop chargers, these have an external power cord or power supply depending on the model. The first one is the Anker Prime 200W desktop charging station. This is a great value because you get six ports (four USB-C, two USB-A), maximum 100W per port, ideal for laptops and other devices. The Prime 250W desktop charger has a screen and knob to monitor and control output, with four USB-C ports and two USB-A ports, capable of delivering 140W from one port. The most niche is the Prime 240W desktop charging station, with popup outlets, four USB-C ports, two USB-A ports, 240W total USB power, and schedule controls via the Anker Prime app. It’s perfect for larger desktops or transporting in a suitcase, offering low-profile and versatile options for advanced setups.

How to Choose the Right Anker Charger or Charging Station

If you only have an iPhone or an iPad and want to charge one device at a time, the Nano 30W is great. If you want to charge a tablet and phone at the same time and occasionally a MacBook Air, the Dual 47W is better. For mainly a laptop plus a tablet or phone, the Prime 100W charger works well. For a laptop plus multiple devices, the Anker Laptop Charger 140W is ideal. For desktop setups, the 240W is good for popup outlet needs, the 250W for higher power and monitoring, and the 200W offers excellent value while keeping multiple devices charged.
